Cupping
Frequently Asked Questions

What does Cupping do?

Cupping lifts, stretches & decompress' restricted muscle tissue facilitating improved blood & lymph flow to promote healing of muscle tissue, improve joint mobility and flexibility.

Why do you utilize Cupping as a modality in your practice?

Cupping helps to release compressed fascia and surface-level muscle tissue,
allowing for quicker and easier access to deeper muscle groups

What are the Cupping Marks?

When blood and lymph thicken or stagnate the discoloration left behind after cupping suggests that this stagnation is being pulled to the surface and away from muscle tissue allowing healthy blood circulation to occur. This discoloration is NOT bruising

Cupping marks can last a few days to weeks depending on the depth of discoloration.

Please let me know if you have an aversion to the marks being visible and I will adjust accordingly to ensure your comfort.

What kind of cups do you use?

I use soft silicone cups.
